Cattle shows are a long-held tradition for many Angus families. Breeders of all ages travel to attend shows, evaluate entries and celebrate the heritage of raising cattle.

Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC)
The 26th Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) will be held March 13-15, 2026, at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

PGS Shows
The PGS provides exhibitors an additional opportunity to exhibit heifers while learning about the importance of Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) and economic selection indexes ($Values) in seedstock selection. Animals are judged on both genotype and phenotype, each weighted 50% in the final score.
NJAA Shows
There's not much better than an Angus heifer in the barn, a show date on your calendar and goal to learn as much as you can in between.
Judge selection process
The American Angus Association’s Events and Junior Activities Department maintains a list of individuals who have experience in evaluating livestock. To be placed on this list, a nomination form must be completed and sent to the Events and Junior Activities Department to be reviewed by the Activities Committee.
