No one operation, region or sector of the cattle industry has all the answers. The best ideas can emerge when we gather to share experiences, challenge assumptions and learn from one another.
That's what Angus Convention has always been about.
The 2026 event brings Angus breeders, commercial cattlemen and industry partners together, Nov. 13-16, in Louisville, Ky. From educational sessions and industry discussions to networking and Association business, Angus Convention explores what's next for the Angus breed and the beef industry.
“Sessions will bring together voices from across the industry, adding insight and perspective from links throughout the supply chain,” says Mark McCully, CEO of the American Angus Association. “We want these sessions to spark conversations among breeders, commercial customers and industry partners as members consider what success looks like in their operation.”
Educational sessions throughout the weekend will tackle topics ranging from profitability and market opportunities to the future of genetic evaluation and data collection. Convention attendees can also connect with industry partners during the Industry Showcase, designed to create space for meaningful conversations with companies offering technology, marketing and business solutions.
Angus Convention remains an important opportunity for members to engage in Association business. The event culminates with the 143rd Convention of Delegates, where elected delegates conduct annual business and elect members to the Association's Board of Directors.
Looking for more opportunities to connect with fellow breeders and colleagues? This year's event is held in conjunction with the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), offering a schedule designed to blend education and networking with the Junior Angus, Open PGS and Super ROV Angus Shows.
The Angus family will also celebrate the induction of longtime Angus breeder Paul Hill into the Saddle & Sirloin Portrait Gallery, one of the industry's highest honors.
Whether you're seeking to strengthen industry connections or gain perspective on the opportunities ahead, Angus Convention offers a chance to learn, contribute and drive the breed forward.
