Sire Evaluation Report Data Deadline Approaching

Data must be submitted by May 15 to be included in the Sire Evaluation Report

The Fall 2026 Sire Evaluation Report will be released alongside annual updates to the World Angus Evaluation on May 22nd. Data submitted to the American Angus Association® by May 15, will be eligible for inclusion in the calculation of qualified sires.  

The Sire Evaluation Report is released bi-annually to identify bulls in the breed who meet the following requirements: at least 35 yearling progeny weights in proper Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR®) contemporary groups, a yearling accuracy value of at least .40 and at least five calves recorded in the Association’s herd book since June 1, 2024. The report also includes a Young Sire Supplement identifying bulls born after January 1, 2022, with at least 10 progeny weaning weights reported to AHIR® and a weaning accuracy of at least .30. 

Members can search the Spring 2026 Sire Evaluation Report, released December 5, 2025, using the search tool under the Tools & Resources section of Angus.org. The tool will be updated to reflect the Fall 2026 Sire Evaluation Report on Friday, May 22.
